Snorkelling the amazing crystal clear waters in Ewens Ponds.

'Robe Run' and Ewens Ponds Snorkelling Adventure

Additional Information

Spend two nights in the beautiful historic fishing town of Robe with its stunning coastal scenery, amazing beaches and a broad range of boutique shops in the picturesque main street.  You will have the opportunity to see it all in the 'Robe Run', one of the most amazing running events in South Australia.  Choose your distance 42km, 21km, 13km or 5km, the entry fee is included in your tour. When you book and pay your deposit, you will receive an email with a promo code for free entry into the Robe Run. Click on the Robe Run link for more details and maps.

You will be provided with a course orientation on arrival and a scenic tour of the highlights of Robe before picking up your race bibs and joining fellow runners for a pre race dinner, venue TBC

On Saturday morning you will be transported a short distance to the race and returned to your accommodation.

Saturday night, you will attend the official venue for dinner, after party and medal presentations, venue TBC.

Sunday is recovery day and the best recovery is immersive in water to relieve the sore legs. We will  head to the beautiful little seaside town of Beachport where we take a refreshing recovery ocean dip at the protected and the very picturesque Salmon Hole, followed by a recovery float in Pool of Siloam, seven times saltier than the ocean, and it's warmer.  Some of the locals say the Pool of Siloam has healing powers.

Compression and relaxation is the next recovery therapy as we travel to the amazing spring fed

crystal clear, cool waters at Ewens Ponds to snorkel the three ponds.  Letting the water flow take you from one pond to the next is the most relaxing and surreal experience.  If you need some more water therapy, there will be a stop at Little Blue Lake for one last dip if required or a small walk around the lake.

We spend Sunday night in Mt Gambier and take an evening walk to the illuminated Cave Gardens.

On Monday morning there will be an optional recovery run/walk to see the sun rise over the incredible Blue Lake. After breakfast and checkout we head back to the Blue Lake for the renowned Aquifer tour, where you take a glass paneled lift down the original dolomite well shaft, and walk through a tunnel to see the Blue Lake at close proximity.

On our journey back to Adelaide we stop at Naracoorte caves for lunch and share our memories of a great weekend.  There will also be a option for a quick tour of the Stick Tomato cave.
