Sunday is recovery day and the best recovery is immersive in water to relieve the sore legs. We will head to the beautiful little seaside town of Beachport where we take a refreshing recovery ocean dip at the protected and the very picturesque Salmon Hole, followed by a recovery float in Pool of Siloam, seven times saltier than the ocean, and it's warmer. Some of the locals say the Pool of Siloam has healing powers.
Compression and relaxation is the next recovery therapy as we travel to the amazing spring fed
crystal clear, cool waters at Ewens Ponds to snorkel the three ponds. Letting the water flow take you from one pond to the next is the most relaxing and surreal experience. If you need some more water therapy, there will be a stop at Little Blue Lake for one last dip if required or a small walk around the lake.
We spend Sunday night in Mt Gambier and take an evening walk to the illuminated Cave Gardens.
On Monday morning there will be an optional recovery run/walk to see the sun rise over the incredible Blue Lake. After breakfast and checkout we head back to the Blue Lake for the renowned Aquifer tour, where you take a glass paneled lift down the original dolomite well shaft, and walk through a tunnel to see the Blue Lake at close proximity.
On our journey back to Adelaide we stop at Naracoorte caves for lunch and share our memories of a great weekend. There will also be a option for a quick tour of the Stick Tomato cave.
