Our adventures are designed to cater to all levels of experience and abilities from first-timer to expert paddler. We have several different tours, from half day learning basic skills, day paddles and multi day paddles so that everyone can find the perfect trip.
The Oru folding kayaks we use are very stable, highly manoeuvrable and light. Your guides will give you through instruction on how to safely use and enjoy the kayaks and what to do in case of a capsize. For those concerned about capsizing, the double kayaks are more stable than the singles and we have a variety of both singles and doubles on every trip. The likelihood of a capsize is minimal and if it does happen your well-trained guides will be there before you know it to help.
We hire a complete winter snorkel bundle from a highly reputable dive shop in Adelaide. They have a broad range of sizes from XS to 4XXXL, so we can cater for everyone. Each bundle consists of a 7mm wetsuit, hood, fins, mask and snorkel.
Depending on what time of year you book your tour. The progressive snorkel tours are during warmer months and the water temperature ranges from 17 to 22 degrees, so you will be very comfortable in the water. The cuttlefish tours are conducted in the winter months and the water temperature can get down to 14 degrees. Most snorkelling is done in shallow waters and for a shorter duration. Due to hiring the winter snorkel bundle and supplying 7mm wetsuits with hoods and spending less time in the water you will be comfortable. If you do start to get cold it is easy for you to go to shore and change into warm clothes.
For the progressive snorkel no snorkelling experience is required, but you do need to be comfortable in the water. Due to hiring 7mm wetsuits you will be very buoyant and will float comfortably above water. For the cuttlefish tours some snorkelling experience is required and you need to be able to swim at least 200 metres any stroke. You will still float comfortably above the water but will be in more of a open ocean environment
